About
Hi. In case you don’t know, this is a personal website of Jim Jordan. That would be me. I’ll write in the first person today. Perhaps next year, I’ll shift into the third person. Happy day~
I’ve put this website up to show some of the great variety of scenes I’ve been able to witness while living in China.
I lived and worked in China for about seven and a half years. I worked as an English teacher, employed by institutes and international schools in the south-east coastal areas, where I taught phonics to iGCSE Literature to batches of learners who consider English as a first, second, third or fourth language. Also, I tutored adults at times as well as young learners in their paths of learning English, multi-lingual non-Chinese as well as Chinese folk.
Being employed by international schools in China allowed me to have lots of time off~ With that time, I traveled extensively. It is those travels that I aim to document here.
Please let me know if the format works for you, or if you find any of it clunky. I’m kind of figuring it out as I go. Uploading all this data in a way that can straddle the Great Firewall of China has taken a lot of research and effort. Sometimes, in order to create a stilted project, we trip. Please let me know what you think of what you see here. I’ll very much appreciate both your applause, and your critical feedback.
Cheers,
Jim Jordan 9/24/2018
