First off I would like to say superb blog! I had
a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your
mind before writing. I have had difficulty clearing my
mind in getting my ideas out. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
are usually wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips?

Thanks. I have to laugh. Most of the time, I’m working hard to create space to write, and it gets filled with something that pops up in life. I find that clearing my mind before writing is something that is really useful… It lays a good platform to go from. It allows for focus and planning. But I don’t have a system. Perhaps that’s why my updates are in bursts. . . I travel. I travel for space, for clarity, for the peace of mind that allows for writing. It’s the serenity that comes from looking out at a new landscape, a fresh ocean breeze, or a cityscape that leads me to ponder, and that thought goes into writing. So perhaps that’s what creates my writing, is spontaneous inspiration. So, I’d say don’t deny inspiration when it hits. When you get an urge to write, do it, and do it immediately. Happy day there~
