Taking Shape

Taking Shape

Now the weaving is looking more like a tapestry. Over at ShowUsChina.com, I’ve got lightboxes that are randomized for your enjoyment. Here, I’m opening up the overall plan’s introduction with an explanation linked here, and the Patreon account that facilitates it. At Rainshine.org, I’ve got a clean static page that can grow in time. The Yellowstone photos are coming together, and the concept of blogging again appeals to me. It’ll be nice to be back in touch regularly again.

Today is the National Day of China, celebrating 69 years since the 1949 establishment of the engine that is the modern government. Truth be told (and all involved would agree) it is a very different thing from what it was then. Rapid advancements have made a place that was ravaged by half a century of war into a place that I had exactly no trouble getting a soy mocha this morning.

Today, I’m riding around in Shanghai, hopping from nearly-free, high-quality rental bikes that are everywhere, to the world-class metro lines, and there is simply no end to where I can get around here today. The sun is out and the air is clear… Yes, I said that… The rating from Beijing is 29 pm 2.5 today, well within the green-zone. Shanghai is at 72, but still only in the yellow-zone. Not bad for a place that has been famed for red-zones that reach the upper realm of 500 now and then. So yea, good day here.

I don’t want to type too much. . . I’ve got a deadline to get some Yellowstone pictures up today, but I’m letting the files upload from the work I just did in the first two hours of being here, so I have a minute…

Please, let me know what you think of the sites and how they link up! Happy day to you!
